Spirit of APPE Award

The Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) is powered by thoughtful, nurturing volunteers who are dedicated to helping professionals, students, and community members engage in and apply practical and professional ethics in all aspects of their lives.

The Spirt of APPE Award was created by APPE’s board in 2025 to recognize APPE members who have contributed greatly to building APPE’s community and our welcoming atmosphere and fulfilling APPE’s mission.

The Spirit of APPE Award’s criteria are:

1. Extensive involvement with APPE (a minimum of 15 years)
2. Service in an organizational or leadership capacity in APPE
3. Embodies the virtues of APPE (i.e., works to improve ethical conduct in our communities and workplaces, support and develop the next generation of ethics faculty and professionals, and advance public dialogue in ethics and values.)
