Ethics Bowl Summer Workshop

Current and prospective Ethics Bowl coaches and team members, as well as regional hosts, are encouraged to attend the Ethics Bowl Summer Workshop on July 24 and 25, 2026. This free, online event will feature sessions on topics designed for all types of Ethics Bowlers--coaches, regional hosts, students, newcomers, and veterans.

For those newer to Ethics Bowl, we encourage you to watch the ABCs of Ethics Bowl--a series of six information videos that run 15 to 20 minutes long--prior to joining the workshop.

A Note about the Program
Sessions 1, 2, 3, and 7 are plenary sessions. Sessions 4, 5, and 6 contain concurrent sessions. Participants are welcome to attend any session that they like, but the concurrent sessions have been grouped into tracks which one might find useful to follow depending on one’s role, interest, and level of Ethics Bowl experience. A description of each track is provided below.

Track 1: Ethics Bowl in the Classroom
Teachers across the country use Ethics Bowl cases and debates in different ways pedagogically. This track will explore different approaches to using Ethics Bowl in a class.

Track 2: Producing the Bowl
This track focuses on the myriad of issues involved in putting on an ethics bowl.

Track 3: Engaging the World
This track focuses on the relationship between the Ethics Bowl and the world in which we currently live.
